The University of Houston Finance Association admits new members at
the beginning of every semester for the first two weeks. We are
constantly seeking active individuals who have a desire to learn
more about the financial industry, are creative, hardworking and
self-motivated.
Who Can Join?
All majors are invited to join the University of Houston Finance
Association. Our success is dependent on bringing together a diverse
group of students with different majors, backgrounds and dreams. Our
organization continues to grow each semester and we encourage you to
be a part of that growth.
Membership Fees
$45 per semester
$80 per year
Student Scholarships
$1,150 in student scholarships are awarded each semester. At the end of each semester, member points are totaled to determine the most active members. The Top 10 Most Active Members each receive a $100 scholarship. A Distinguished Member, determined from the Top 10 Most Active Members, also receives an additional $150 scholarship. ________________________________________________________________________
Point System
It has been consistently found in numerous university studies that
the best candidates for employment are those that display leadership
skills and take initiative to participate in extracurricular
activities. In order to be considered an active member of the
Finance Association, members are required to have a certain amount of points per
semester. Members can earn their points through the following
