President's Welcome Address:
I would like to first start of by saying that I am looking forward to an outstanding 2008-2009 NABA Year. The executive board and I have planned a number of professional meetings, general meetings, socials, and community service events that will be sure to uphold the purpose of NABA. We want to make sure that each and every last one of our members concludes this year better off academically, professionally, and more humbly.
I would also like to welcome any new members to our organization. I want to encourage you as well as our returning members to become active in our organization. You can not fully reap the benefits of joining NABA unless you give it your full dedication.
I am excited about this year and can not wait to see what all we can do together to serve our purpose. Let's go into this year remembering, "Power harnessed by great Passion can achieve endless Possibilities."

EVENTS | NABA Banquet This Friday! (ROOM CHANGE)
 UPDATE: The room for the banquet has changed to the FLAMINGO Rm 275. Also please remember to BRING YOUT TICKET!!! NABA Spring Banquet 2008 Attire: Semi-Formal Atire Required When: April 25, 2008 Where: UH Hilton Hotel (Flamingo Room 275) Time: 7:00pm Well the end of the year is approacing soon and finals are upon us. Let us take time to reflect on our past year in Naba and reflect on all of the accomplishments of our members and the organization. This year we've made major strides for the organization with members recieving internships and scholarships, having more involvement in community service projects and events, improving the professionalism of new members, providing professional exposure to members as well with office visits and meetings, and of course having a good time together with the naba family at social events. We are also inviting professionals from our sponsoring companys as well. They've assisted us in so many ways this year more than just monetary and we are glad to have the chance to show them how much we appreciate them. Officer candidates for next year must attend the banquet. New officers for next year will be announced at the banquet at which point they will take over (assume) positions. If you're elected, be sure to get with the person previosly holding your position for information about it. You MUST have your ticket with you or you won't be seated or allowed to eat! CHAPTER NEWS | UH NABA Scholarship Application - APPLY NOW!
I'm sorry this is so late but its here now...
One of the many incentives of being apart of the University of Houston Chapter of NABA are the scholarship opportunities. As you know we have always informed our members of several scholarship opportunities from not only NABA, but also other available sources. But now, we are now introducing our own UH NABA CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP for all PAID MEMBERS. Attached is the scholarship application with all the criteria and requirements. PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY. The deadline for the scholarship is APRIL 21, 2008. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. UPDATE: Many
of you have been inquiring about where to submit the UH NABA
Scholarship. Once you have filled out the scholarship, please submit

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Scholarship
AKA Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is offering several
scholarships to full-time college students. There are two programs: one
for undergrads and one for grads. In each of the programs, students can
apply for either a merit based or financial need based scholarship. The
deadline is April 15, 2008.
