President's Welcome Address:

Greetings,

Welcome to the website for the University of Houston Student Chapter of NABA! UH NABA is one of the premier student organizations in the C.T. Bauer College of Business that promotes the advancement of professional skills and career development for University of Houston minority students.

I am very honored and excited to serve as your President for the 2011-2012 year! I am currently going into my third year with UH NABA and my second consecutive year as a serving officer. Needless to say, I have been very active in UH NABA and have learned a lot and gained valuable experience through this organization. As President, I have made it my duty to help your experience in NABA be the same as mine.

 

Through the support given from our Corporate Sponsors, Professional NABA Chapter, Bauer College of Business, Faculty Advisor Dr. Gamble and the UH NABA Executive Board, we are able to provide resources that will aid you while entering the accounting profession. The 2011-2012 Executive Board and I have worked very diligently to provide professional events, corporate and member socials, member leadership roles, volunteer opportunities, and exciting fundraising projects that will give you a great experience while being a part of one of the most successful and fast growing organizations in Bauer!

I'm very passionate about NABA and my vision for this year is for our organization to have positive growth through expanded active membership, increased internship and full time employment offers, interactive and influencing events, and overall member success! I sincerely ask that you be a part of our organization and actively help us to "Lift as We Climb"!
